10th Annual AvantGuard Run For a Reason 5k
AG's Reason to Run
The “AG Run For A Reason” benefit is held to help a family in the community who is experiencing financial strains from medical issues. The event has created a great culture of caring for others and the community. The core of the AG Cares Foundation and AvantGuard as a whole is about helping others in times of need. The 5K provides AG a way to help within the community and gives our team a chance to serve and to make a difference. We hope you'll join us by registering for the event and/or donating to the cause.
Caden Simpson
Caden Simpson, a fun-loving 7-year-old from Cedar City, UT, was diagnosed with liver cancer in April 2022 and has been undergoing intense treatment since then. He has two very rare types of cancer – Hepatocellular (HCC) and Malignant Neoplasm. He has been through 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy, blood draws twice weekly, 30 CT scans, 30 ultrasounds, a liver transplant, 40+ blood and platelet transfusions, and 8 surgeries so far, with several more anticipated procedures. Through it all, his family describes Caden as funny, caring, and compassionate. All the donations from this event will go to Caden and his family to help with his medical expenses and treatment. His family is enjoying every moment they have with him.
